About Me

I am a priest incardinated in the diocese of Rome, though I am originally from the United States. I am currently stationed at the diocesan pilgrimage office "Opera Romana Pellegrinaggi". I am also a programmer. Interests are philosophy, theology, computer programming (php, javascript, html, css, java, vba, google apps script, c++), electronics (arduino and embedded development), languages, cinematography, literature... I also enjoy craftsmanship such as woodworking, and DIY projects.

I have created the BibleGet I/O project which is in constant development, and the Liturgical Calendar API.

What does "Sal et Humus" refer to?

Sal (lat.) = "sale comune, sale da tavola, ossia cloruro di sodio". Il sale dà sapore. Sale -> sapore -> sapere -> sapienza. L'amicizia può esserci, dice Aristotele nell'Etica Nicomachea libro VIII, solo dopo aver consumato insieme "uno staio di sale".

Humus (lat.) = "è un componente chimico del terreno derivato da un processo di decomposizione e rielaborazione della sostanza organica del terreno. È un eteropolimero con peso molecolare che va da poche centinaia a migliaia di Dalton^[1]. L'humus rappresenta la parte più attiva, sotto l'aspetto chimico e fisico, della sostanza organica del terreno e interagisce con la frazione minerale e con la soluzione circolante influenzando le proprietà chimiche e fisiche del terreno". Humus -> umido -> umile -> umano -> umore -> umorismo.
